This card features a universal PCI connector: works with 3.3 or 5 volt slots. The card is intended for 32-bit PCI slots, although it *may* work in a 64-bit slot as well. Check your motherboard’s documentation or manufacturer for your PCI slot specifications.
5 Stars Works like a charm!
I’m very impressed with this PCI card. I installed it easily in my Dell 530 with 32 bit Vista and all the drivers installed and played just fine. Name brand electronics(Texas Instruments)helped too. I’m off and running capturing video from my Sony HandyCam Digital 8 model DCR-TRV280. This is a much better way to capture than using USB on Windows XP. I recommend this product highly! Can’t beat the price either. Great product and seller!
5 Stars Incredibly good buy!
I never review products, but had to give my input on this one.. I needed to add firewire to my PC in order to import video from my Mini DV camcorder. This was an incredibly simple to install product and a great deal.
Before buying this, I first went to Best Buy. I purchased a firewire PCIe (PCI express) card for $20. This card used the smaller PCI slot, but required an additional power source to be run to it, which required buying an additional “extention cord” so I could run power from my PC’s power supply. What a pain. I couldn’t find the cord and returned it. I also purchased their cheapest firewire cable for $30 – open box deal. Still a ripoff.
I bought this card and am extremely happy. I simply powered off the computer, put it in, booted up and Windows Vista detected it and voila, it worked perfectly. It was $11 after shipping, doesn’t require an additional power source, INCLUDES THE CORD, and saved me $40 compared to Best Buy despite their open box “deal.”
One odd thing is that it came with ULEAD Videostudio 8, but no serial # so I can’t install it. I didn’t see advertised that it came with the software anyway, so no big loss.
I highly recommend buying this item.
5 Stars Great card at fair price
I bought this card for my video editing needs and it peforms very good with my software.
Two thumbs up!
4 Stars Cheap and Best
Poped in my PCI slot. Vista dectected fine and I was able to download movies from my SONY DCR-TRV11 camera. The camera is 10 years old and this camera outlasted all my computers which has firewire ports. So I needed card.
4 Stars Painless.
I bought this card because it was cheap and because others said they were surprised how well it worked. I slipped it into the slot, turned on the computer and it installed within seconds, all by itself (Windows XP). I did not use the enclosed CD for installation or the video editing software…I just set it aside. I use several other capture programs for video and like Windows Movie Maker because it creates ‘clips’ of each scene which i can then easily change, move around or delete as necessary. This card is mislabelled and does not include a USB port. The enclosed cable is too short, but it works fine. consider getting an extension or a longer cable. By connecting my older VCR to my camera and passing the signal thru my digital camcorder, I get images without loss of quality transferred to the computer. Take a chance on this card, it’s worth it. (only 4 stars for missing USB port)
Videosecu AV to VGA Converter TV RCA composite video to VGA Monitor
Want to hook up your security camera, VCR or video game console to your VGA Monitor? Then this VideoSecu AV to VGA converter is your solution. This converter box will convert a AV composite or S-video TV display signal to VGA monitor display. It even has a VGA pass through so that you can keep your computer monitor connected while sending a signal from the TV.
4 Stars Works As Advertised
This product works as advertised. I really liked that the VGA output could still be used for the existing second monitor while the S-video was connected to an old TV at the same time. I did not notice any signal loss. The settings for brightness etc. are not saved and have to be set every time the machine is restarted.
2 Stars Did not work well with my 42″ Sylvania Plasma & Inspire One Laptop
I purchased this item with the intent to display karaoke lyrics from my laptop to my spare 42′ Sylvania Plasma EDTV. My laptop is a Acer Aspire One, netbook. I’ve tried several VGA to S-video/RCA adapters and finally decided to try a converter instead. This is the first converter I bought. The picture was constantly streaming and only showed up in black and white. It looked like I was watching scrambled cable. I tried to adjust the video output and input on both the laptop and the TV. Neither worked. A friend, who is a cable specialist, told me that because the converter was using USB to my laptop for power (instead of powercord) it was not getting enough juice to output a proper signal. So I had to returned he product. Instead a purchased a more expensive product that uses a 9v power supply cord.

4 Stars Pretty good imitation of an Iphone/touch screen Ipod
Hello People,
I’ve had my mp4 player now about 1 week and I feel pretty confident using it now. The manual is very limited in explaining how to do certain things. And sorely lacks HOW to use the camera feature in the manual. You have to just play with it and find things out for yourself. To use the camera feature you have to touch other function, then vidicon. that will put you into the video/camera feature. and the view screen turns on. then there is a solid dot and a camera icon on the right hand side of the view screen. to take still pics, touch the camera icon. to make a video, touch the solid dot. Also, if you plug the player into your computer and expect it to charge it up fully, be prepared to wait days and days for it to charge. The best way to charge this unit is by plugging it into the wall socket. But again, the first time it will take at least 8hrs. Which the manual doesn’t tell you how long it will take. It says wait for the red dot to change into the green dot on the charger. Overall. It is a very nice player of movies, pics, music files and it holds a LOT of music files. I put almost every music file i had on my pc onto the player and it didn’t even reach 2 gigs. I’m going to have to convert more of my cds into mp3 files to fill this thing up. YEAH!!!! The sound quality is superb!!! Once I learned how to make it just play music, I was very impressed. Now it’s a dream to do laundry again. I have so much more music to chill to. For the money this is definitely worth the price.
3 Stars Basic but well rounded
The glitz and glam of this product bought me over, but when I got it (even thought I knew the size) I was blown away this tiny thing I am gonna need to hold it up to my face to see the movies. The cheap looking toy didnt not look like a good buy whatsoever, but when I turned it on I was slightly shocked. The product was easy to use with out the manuel and was pretty fun although the software on the device looks cheezy it still works well. So to sum it up it looks REALLY bad device and software but it runs good and does what its supposta, end review – Worth about 80$
